Garlic: Crop Failure

July 27, 2012

Reading other garden blogs lately, I’ve seen abundant garlic harvests with descriptions of dozens of heads of this and that variety. I harvested no garlic this year so I’m without garlic for cooking and replanting in the fall.

My luscious sweet peas overtook the garlic. I planted them too close together and then was inattentive to the plight of the garlic. I usually have one crop failure each season. This time it was the garlic. Keeps me humble…and anxious to plant garlic again in the fall.
