Vegetable Garden Pathways

In my vegetable garden I use pea gravel between the raised beds. In other gardens I’ve used salt marsh hay, grass clippings and pine needles. 

Your choice of materials for garden pathways may depend on what’s at hand, the size of your garden or the look you want.

Like most organic gardeners, I grow my vegetables in permanent beds that are separated by permanent pathways. While I don’t want to put a lot of time and effort into maintaining meticulous pathways, I do want them to serve me by providing firm footing in all types of weather.
