The Epic Journey of Monarch Butterflies

Fewer monarchs visit my garden now in late October. They’ve been abundant for several months. Monarch caterpillars have devoured many of the milkweed plants. Soon, the monarchs will disappear.

Yesterday, while planting garlic, a monarch lit upon a nearby zinnia. I stood in amazement then started clicking.
