Peppers Persist
October 12, 2011
Three of my four raised beds are prepped for the fall garden, but the peppers revel in the warm autumn days, offering a bounty in hues of red, yellow, purple and green.
Some years, if permitted, the peppers will continue until December. I snip off the new blossoms so the plant’s energy is directed to ripen the growing peppers.
Note the reflection of the marigolds on the purple pepper. Autumn glow.
