Feeling blue? Squeeze a lemon. Research has shown that the lemon scent has a positive effect on mood, whether or not you expect it to. While not all of us can or want to grow citrus, the good news is that we don’t have to if we want to enjoy that lemony boost. Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) and Lemon Verbena (Aloysia citriodora) are two of our loveliest scented herbs with uses in and out of the kitchen. Read more
