Cuttings: Selected Quotes

I seem to always have a garden-related book underway, even when I’m engaged in a novel. Usually, I read it before bed. Right now, I’m enchanted by The Earth in Her Hands, 75 Extraordinary Women Working in the World of Plants. I also frequently pick up Pat Welsh’s Southern California Organic Gardening, which is organized by months. My next read is California Apricots, The Lost Orchards of Silicon Valley.

The authors of these garden books inspire me. Their words impress me, stimulate new thoughts and prompt action. Underlining favorite passages isn’t enough. Soon the urgency, the import of what I’ve read escapes me. Sharing them with someone or on my blog reinforces the thought and may inspire others.

And that is the origin of my Cuttings: Selected Quotes page. Follow the link or select the page from the menu icon in the upper left corner. I endeavor to add new quotes weekly.

Resources

On the Resources page of my blog you’ll find lists of—
