Jun 9 A Poem for June

Looking to the ocean from my upper floor,
Across the rooftops is a greenscape
Of palm trees, liquidamber
And other assorted green.

But my eye is drawn to
The hazy patch of purple down the street.
It is June in San Diego
And the jacaranda blooms.
