Garden Sharing
I was never able to find a good place to locate just one asparagus plant given to me by a neighbor. Until a few years ago I had a productive asparagus plot that aged out after twenty years and couldn’t compete with encroaching apricot tree roots.
This week I offered the asparagus plant to a gardening friend who was thrilled and intends to buy more roots at a local nursery. She’s planning an asparagus patch where her chicken coop used to be so the soil should be nutrient rich. She had to give away her chickens due to a neighborhood problem with rats. Her boyfriend majored in horticulture and she’s an experienced and enthusiastic gardener. Perfecto!
Happy endings for an asparagus plant, Love the garden share experience.
