How to Build a Bamboo Tri-Pod Trellis

Many pole bean and pea varieties can grow to six or seven feet tall so you’ll need a trellis that can support that growth. Sweet peas can also use such supports.

An inexpensive, and easy way to create a tall, semi-permanent trellising structure for your peas or pole beans is with 8' bamboo poles (about $5 each at your local home or garden center) and Jute Twine.

Or if you happen to have a neighbor or friend with bamboo, they will usually be happy to cut some for you.
